Mahogany body. Set neck. "NY City XIX" graphic print.

H.R. Giger, best known for the creature of "Alien" fame, has joined forces with Ibanez to create two limited edition guitars. There are two different models of H.R. Giger/Ibanez guitars, whose relatively small numbers of available quantities compared to standard guitar production should make them highly desired items for collectors. The RGTHRG1 features Giger's "NY City XIX" painting on the Ibanez RG body design popular among heavy metal guitarists.

"GIGER SERIES IBANEZ...Looks awesome. Plays great... a must have for the guitarist that appreciates art, form and function"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I have already bought 3 guitars since i got the GIGER...2 Jacksons and a Dean.
Sound
The sound of this axe is great but still has that signature Ibanez sound, wich is good but slightly lacks that heavy(from the bowels of hell) crunch naturally.
Ease of Use
Very easy to play but wen looking down at it,it's hard to visually see where you are on the neck because of the faux mother of pearl inlays in low light, you cannot see the dots on the neck.
Quality
there is a carbon (pimple) on the neck of my guitar but i wont call it a flaw....i call it a one of a kind.
Value
Great value, being that it is a HR GIGER series
