The DiMarzio Evolution pickups are also the product of developmental collaboration with Vai. The Maple JEM-EVO neck is about speed, Alder body about sustain, and the vine inlay on the Rosewood fingerboard is about... Steve. The Edge Tremolo is another shining example of Ibanez's mastery of trem design. With a finish that's about as bashful as the man who inspired it, the Jem-Evo is ready to blaze trails. Played one at a store..simply fantastic build and setup. Ibanez builds some solid f***ing guitars.
