As an industry leader in the use of Exotic tonewoods, Ibanez continues to innovate with their AEW series. This fresh approach merges a classic Spruce top with an elegant exotic tonewood back-and-sides. The thinner, amplification-friendly body of these new acoustic/electrics make them the perfect choice for gigging singer-songwriters.

The AEW40FFCD uses multi scale-construction. The longer scale on the lower register provides more articulation and a punchy sound on the low-end; the shorter scale on the higher register contributes to better playing comfort. The AEW40FFCD is an AEW body style acoustic/electric guitar with Walnut top, back and sides for arresting looks. Electronics on the AEW40FFCD include a Fishman Sonicore pickup and an AEQ-SP2 preamp for complete tone control, 1/4" & XLR outputs, plus an onboard tuner for quick, discreet tuning. The bone nut and saddle were chosen for its ability to transfer string vibration naturally. Grover Chrome Die-cast tuners w/Half moon knobs (18:1 gear ratio) ensure acculate, stable tuning.
