Stepped out on faith and bought this unit from zzounds using their payment plan. First off, zzounds is the best, from the price, the payments, on up to how fast this thing was shipped and received. As far as the G2V... I'm a mobile DJ. I've been Dj'ing for about 6 years now. I came from a Hercules RMX to this. The unit is gorgeous. Metal casing, nice big jog wheels, and a total of 16 performance pads. As for the sound... I actually think the RMX has it beat, hands down. Just seem like the G@V wasn't pushing out a clear and powerful sound. To make matters worse, this thing froze up on me a total of 5x during my gig. When I say "froze", I mean the music just all of a sudden stopped. I had to power down the unit, and restart it in order to get sound back. I use VDJ pro which is natively mapped to the G2V, so I assume it wasn't the software. I do think the Gemini ASIO driver is very suspect. Not sure what happened, but the unit just crapped out on me. After the 5th freeze, it worked ok for the next few hours. Like anything, I guess you should never jump on the first installment of anything. The unit is beautiful and has all the functions anyone could possibly want, but at this point, it's just not reliable for me. The next night I broke my RMX back out (from zzounds) and did a 6 hour gig without a hiccup. The G2V may a YMMV type of thing but as for me, the G2V is going back.
