"For heaven's sake, stay away from this unit!"

Overall: 1.5 out of 5 stars

I'll get rid of it right away, after having it for only 1 month. I will replace it for something much better from NUMARK probably. For the same price you get a lot more from them.

Sound
The sound is OK for a Gemini product. The Individual 3EQ per channel are very impressive, knowing the history of the Gemini mixer's sound (which is in my experience very poor).

Features
The loop/scratch/vinyl-stop-alike functions are a joke. They are completly inacurate and hard to use in a proper way. Of course, if you use this unit as a "toy", it is fun to hear your music "sound crazy". But if you are into just making a decent mix with some extras, buy something else.

Ease of Use
It is as easy as it gets. Right out of the box, and you are ready to throw some beats. But the "extra features" are a pain (and in fact I dare someone to make them all work properly), so the use of work just goes south. The worst problem is that THE PITCH IS NOT ACCURATE AT ALL! It jumps from +/-0.5% each time, instead of at least +/-0.1%, which make it virtually imposible to match two different BPMs without having to "correct" the tempo ALL THE TIME while you are mixing. I contacted Gemini about this, and the answer was: it is what it is!

Quality
Gemini quality = poor.

Value
You will get better things for the value. Probably a NUMARK DJ pack, which will mop the read more floor with this unit.

Manufacturer Support
I contacted Gemini to explain the problems that I found on the unit, and the Gemini guy just kept on writing to say that he didn't find anything "unusual" with the unit, which makes me think they knew the kind of product they were releasing.

The Wow Factor
Sex appeal is nice however. It looks nice, flashy, and the built-in is less plastic that other competitors (like NUMARK).
