Overview
The Gibson SG '60s Tribute Electric Guitar has all the best features from the 1960s SG's. Gibson introduced the SG in the early '60s as a replacement for the Les Paul. The SG '60s Tribute gives you all the mojo, tone and feel of those guitars at an incredible price.
This guitar features a mahogany body, mahogany 60's Slim profile neck and a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays. BurstBucker 1 and BurstBucker 2 humbuckers pump out huge PAF tones just like the vintage instruments.

I have been playing Gibson guitars since 1963, I have owned and sold more of them than I care to remember, but then a starving musician has to eat and pay the rent. I am pleased to say that my many years of playing has paid off and I am now able to make up for the many guitars that I parted ways with. A couple of years back I bought another Gold Top, and recently bought a LPJ. Last week, I ordered up one of the "SG 60's Tribute" models. It arrived within 3 days,... and upon opening the box, I have not stopped smiling or playing this guitar,... I have to say that it is a great guitar by any standards!
The only down side of the guitar is more personal than anything else. This guitar came with what I found to be .009 (high "E" ), strings,.. and I use .011, so I changed them. At that piont I went over the guitar as I do my own set-up's and found little to none to be changed. The only thing other than the strings is that I would have paid more for it to have had a pick gard,.. but then I can get one in the world of after market dealers. This guitar rocks, it sings and is full of soul. If this guitar was ever stolen, I would buy another one in a heart beat and then hunt down the theif and beat him soundly with a "Squire"!!! It is a great guitar for a beginer or as a stage primary or secondary guitar,... It's a Gibson,... there is no other kind, and a Gibson is one of a kind!!!
