I love this very special guitar as it's unique sound and looks definately stand out from my other guitars.
Sound
The sound is typical of any small body parlor style guitar. The ladder bracing gives it a very focused sound coupled with the small spruce top and mahogany back and sides. It has a very vintage bluesy/folk sound that I love.
Features
It is well put together and feels very solid. Beautiful sunburst finish with small tear drop pick guard with tortise finish. Elegant single ring rossette. I have always liked the white button tuners that Gibson uses on some of their products and have had no trouble with it staying in tune.
Ease of Use
Very easy to play especially if you have small hands but the soft v neck profile makes it pretty easy even if you have medium size hands like myself. This guitar is vey small and comfortable to play but don't be fooled by it's size. Though not as loud as a dreadnought, it is still very loud and has a sound like no other acoustic I own.
Quality
It seems to be made well. I have owned mine for over a year and it has no problems that I can think of. It still has that new guitar smell.
Value
I think it is an overall good value especially for a signature model as they tend to be a little more pricey. If something happened to mine I would definately get another as I plan to hand it down to my… read more son in the future.
Manufacturer Support
I own many Gibsons and Gibson products. Their customer support is very friendly and has always been helpful to me.
The Wow Factor
I own many guitars. Gibson,Martin,Taylor, etc. This guitar has a very special sound and look. It's size and vintage sound is not for everyone but I find it unique and almost like playing a time capsule. Though brand new it sounds very old so you get the best of both worlds with this one. It is definately a keeper for all times.
