Overview
Classic design, modern appointments, timeless tone. The Les Paul Signature "T" honors the legacy of Les Paul by combining 70+ years of Les Paul innovation with modern Gibson refinements. A powerful and versatile tool for today's guitarist, the Signature "T" pairs a mahogany body with a gorgeous, carved AA-grade figured maple top for the ultimate in harmonically rich tone. Capturing the beauty of those tonewoods are a '57 Classic and '57 Classic Plus pickup with smooth, creamy top end and plenty of midrange bite. Traditional Les Paul specs, Gibson USA build quality, and master craftsmanship make this a highly capable guitar, while the SlimTaper neck and traditional weight relief make the "T" a very comfortable guitar to play.

Other refinements include a wax bath to eliminate microphonic feedback and keep your pickup pristine and clean throughout its years of service. The coolest feature by far: You can turn this humbucking pickup into a screaming single-coil with a push of a toggle switch. Coil-tapping makes the Les Paul Signature "T" capable of everything from bluesy saturation to a full-on distortion assault.
'57 Classic Pickups with Coil-Tapping
The Gibson Signature "T" comes loaded with arguably the most popular Gibson pickups on the market: the '57 Classic and '57 Classic Plus humbuckers. Typically, '57s have chrome cover plates that lend these pickups a traditional look. However, on the Gibson Les Paul Signature "T," the '57 Classic and '57 Classic Plus pickups are mounted open-coil-style, for a hot-rodded and raw look. Designed and built like the famous original P.A.F. humbuckers, these '57s deliver a smooth, crisp high end, with all the juicy midrange you would expect from a modern-classic pickup. In the bridge position, you'll find the '57 Classic Plus, with an over-wound magnet that increases its output and allows its rich lows and midrange to… read more shine. Finishes and Tonewoods
One of the highlights of this guitar is the impeccable wood selection. With a carved AA-grade solid maple top beautifully married to the select mahogany back, this Les Paul has no shortage of rich, meaty tone -- and a perfect balance of lows, mids, and highs. Traditional weight relief assures a comfortable playing experience, with just the right amount of wood reduction for the ultimate in playbility and tone. The Signature "T" is rounded off with a set of gold speed knobs, custom stamped "T" truss rod cover, and a traditional gloss lacquer. Theses high-quality finishes and appointments create a luxurious and comfortable playing experience that make any guitarist look and sound great.Neck and Fingerboard
Fans of thin, fast necks rejoice! The Les Paul Signature "T" features Gibson's popular '60s-style SlimTaper neck profile, allowing players easy access to chords and scales that are more difficult on larger, baseball-bat-style necks. The mahogany neck is topped with a granadillo fretboard, providing warm, rich tone with an almost "bell-like" quality to the top end. The neck is rounded out with traditional trapezoid inlays and a flatter 12" fretboard radius. More than simply a collector's item, this Les Paul is a highly playable, highly capable tone machine that is rooted in the past, primed for the present, and ready for the future.Optional Min-ETune System
It's no secret that Gibson -- a longtime leader in guitar innovation -- has been hard at work perfecting an automatic tuning system that frees musicians to concentrate on what matters most: playing guitar. The newest iteration of Gibson's bold invention is known as the Min-ETune system. This small, lightweight processor sits on the back of your headstock -- completely out of view from the front -- and tunes your guitar in a matter of seconds with an impressive +/- 2 cent accuracy. In addition to the standard tunings you expect, 12 popular alternate tunings are pre-programmed, with the ability to save an additional 6 user-defined presets. read lessSpecs
