First zZounds is most likely my new go to store. I bought this same guitar at ANOTHER COMPNAY and it was shipped poorly and was the wrong model. I have never bought a guitar that was double boxed like the one zZounds sent and it arrived sooner than expected. zZounds is truly a better business than a couple of the other large stores. This is about the Les Paul Classic Honey Burst. It arrived doubled boxed with no indication on the outside box of what was inside. I like that better than having the word Gibson in bold black letters on both sides, sitting on the porch. The guitar was in a black Gibson hardshell case. I thought it would come with the tweed case like my previous Les Paul. I am just not a big fan of the tweed case. The case included nice Gibson accessories, the normal pictures, documentation and Gibson strap. Before removing the guitar from the case I inspected the finish, pickups, bridge very well before even touching. It was immaculate. when picking up the guitar I inspected the back, the binding, head stock, nut and tuners. (side note I love the brown grain back). again, the guitar was perfect. Dry playing the guitar it was very comfortable and the action was extremely nice in spite of it being shipped. It played very easy and smooth, no fret buzz no rough edges on the neck. Once I plugged it in, the tone was just awesome. The push pull electronics gave this guitar so many different usable sounds and the pick ups were hotter and warmer than I expected... I have a standard read more and IMO the pickups in the classic sound more full.. The weight and holding is what I expected, and it is well balanced. Take this review for what is worth to you, but I spent a couple months looking and reading and without a financial burden this guitar marked all my boxes.
