zZounds Gear Experts Say...
This guitar is modelled after Steve Howe's favorite guitar, the 1964 Gibson ES-175. It has a Mahogany neck and a Maple body with a Vintage Sunburst finish.
Overview
The Steve Howe Signature ES-175 celebrates the achievements of the man who elevated rock guitar into an art form. As a member of the English band Yes, Steve's tasteful, eclectic guitar parts helped define a new style of music. On later solo albums, he emerged as an accomplished jazz player. His guitar collection has been the subject of a book, and his instruments have been exhibited in museums. Through it all, his favorite has always been his 1964 Gibson ES-175, and his signature guitar is modeled after his personal guitar.

"Awesome!"
I wouldn't willingly part with this guitar. not to say that I might get others, I already have a 335 and this complements it well
Sound
Given that "jazz box" guitars have a distinctive sound, this one gives out well. the slightly different top from most such guitars also allows it to give you something a bit brighter than you'd expect
Features
Really well put together with quality woods and hardware
Ease of Use
very easy to play, somethings high up the neck require re-working due to the finger board being a 22 fretter
Quality
Only grough was it arrived with only one pickup working due to a dry solder joint. Surely this should have been picked up at QC? however the finish is superb. the instrument needed some decent strings, a little heavier than the stock strings it arrived with, and a set-up. but then alll guitars benefit from those sort of things.
Value
expensive, but cheaper than many quality guitars of it's type
Manufacturer Support
No need to comment, the above mentioned wiring problem was quickly dealt with by my excellent local luthier.
The Wow Factor
A truly quality piece of work. I look after it and treat it well.
