I did not purchase mine through zZounds, but I cannot let it go unsaid that this guitar is a grail piece of my collection. I have the 70's Flying V in white, and the 70's Explorer in all black. Both of these guitars are solid and versatile. I play the hell out of my V, and the Explorer is a VERY close 2nd. Tons of sustain. The more vintage voicing of the pickups work great with Thrash, Death, Heavy Metal, Classic Rock, Blues, etc. Flip to the neck or middle position for warm clean tones. Hit the gain and flip to the neck for massive bite. Palm mutes have never been more satisfying to me. If you find yourself with the money laying around, GO FOR IT. I have all of my guitars go through a pro setup when I get them, but my Explorer came out of the box ready to go. I have yet to take it to my local guy.
Musical Style:
Thrash Metal, Heavy Metal, Classic Rock, Punk
