Overview
While the Explorer wasn't a huge success when it was first introduced in 1958, guitarists revisited the model and discovered its many charms as the years passed. Rockers began to embrace its futuristic shape and powerful sound by the 1970s, but during the hard rocking 80s, the model came into its owns and was adopted by some of the greatest players of the decade.
