Overview

Created by legendary automotive designer and visionary Ray Dietrich, the original 1963 Firebirds literally reversed conventional concepts for guitar bodies and headstocks. Building on the archetypal Firebird Mini-Humbuckers, Steinberger gearless tuners, and neck-through-body construction, this year's Firebird also makes tremendous improvements in playability, thanks to polished frets and rolled binding. Delivered in a Gibson gig-bag with a Gibson multi-tool, a premium leather strap, and a polishing cloth.

Body and Neck
Neck-through-body construction with a multi-ply mahogany/walnut neck and body core, mahogany body wings, and a Firebird slim-taper neck poflie. Rosewood fingerboard with cream binding rolled over the frets, and a Tektoid nut.

Pickups and Electronics
Firebird Mini-humbuckers (495R and 495T). 2 volumes, 2 tones, 1 toggle switch.

Hardware
Chrome TOM and aluminum Stop Bar. Steinberger gearless tuners. Black top hats with silver inserts.

Additional Specs
Premium leather strap, Gibson multi-tool, polishing cloth.

I had a slight issue with my order and in less than 5 minutes Alex had fixed it.That's great customer service.The guitar is fantastic. Mini-humbuckers are the perfect mix.I am really happy with this purchase.The shape makes playing while seated a bit difficult but it is doable.The weight is similar to an SG, This one is 8 lbs.The strap you use will make a difference. Sling it too low and the belly cut turns away from you.
