DSP effects. Celestion speaker.
Overview
Fender's top-selling Dyna-Touch Series of amps have undergone some serious upgrades, thanks to the fine folks on their DSP design team. These amps have it all under one roof: tone, dynamics, road-proven toughness, and great value. All Dyna-Touch models retain the same analog channel-switching format as their predecessors, but with all new handcrafted DSP effects including Reverb, Delay, Chorus, Flange, Tremolo, and more. The degree of DSP control increases proportionally to the size of the amp. Dyna-Touch amplifiers offer premium performance for today's guitarist. Whether you play Blues, Jazz, Metal, or whatever, you'll find your tone in one of these amps!
The Deluxe 90 DSP delivers 90 watts to its onboard Celestion G12T-100 speaker. Its DSP effects include Reverb, Delay, Chorus, Flange, and Tremolo. The Deluxe 90 also provides dedicated Tone controls for its 2 channel (Normal and Drive). Other features include a More Drive button, an effects loop, and a 2-button footswitch.

"Great clean, thin dirty."
Overall, I honestly still don't know if I'm going to keep this amp. If I can find something with a similar clean channel and a better distortion in the price range, I'll probably do some thinking. I just don't know.
Sound
Sound, single most important issue in an amp. Let me explain my 6 rating. Clean channel is absolutely breath-taking! I cannot say enought about the clean channel, scale of 1-10, its a 12. So why the 6? On a scale of 1-10 for the distortion, its about a 4 unfortunately. Good crunch for bluesy type stuff, and some rock music, but for you kids into the real thick chunka-chunka distortion buy this amp and you will absolutely hate it. I've played my SG and Les Paul through it, and you just can't get that good lowend distortion. That being said, thats not what the amp is made for, its made for the clean and light overdrive. For that its great, but it can't do "metal" as the brochure says. Great amp, just not very versatile.
Features
Features are good. The effects are really nice sounding, and compliment the clean sound quite well. I give an 8 due to the fact that if you set the effect ratio/rate where you want it, then turn away and back to it, it defaults to Fender's settings, not yours. The fender presets are fine, but just understand you won't be switching on the fly. A four-way footswitch would have been a great upgrade, if you could assign a couple of effects to the buttons. With the… read more 3 button, it simply turns what ever effect that is currently chosen on or off.
Quality
So far, so good. Seems solid, I like the velcro in the back of the amp to secure the footswitch when not in use.
Value
Hmm....I'll have to say 8 out of 10. It was $399, its a 90 watt amp (a rather quiet 90 it seems, haven't gigged it yet though). You've got a sureal clean channel and some great quality effects just a rather thin distortion channel...honestly, it sounds as good as any fender amp I have played, tube or otherwise, much less that a twin thats for sure.
Manufacturer Support
Haven't needed them, really cant say.
The Wow Factor
I like the classic looks of it. I love the clean tones. I had debated on returning it for the distortion channels, but I've got a Marshall for that (which has a terrible clean channel). Guess I have the best of both worlds now.
Musical Style:
bluesy, jammy, funky, type noise. read less
