zZounds again with the win with their easy layaway and super fast shipping. This Jazzmaster is a lot of fun. Sure you are going to tweak the set up to your preferences and I did, but out of the box with a quick tune up it was feeling and sounding great. Just look at that color. The pics never do it justice.I like the feel of the satin finish. Your mileage may vary but for me it is very soft and comfortable. The narrow tall frets are different and new to me. I liked them. I have rarely if ever played Jazzmasters before and I never really thought I'd own a Jazzmaster, or a Mustang for that matter, but these new Squiers and their vintage specs are such a great value. I have a bought a few.The pickups are hot. I like them. Sharp but with body and definition. Clear. Not thin. Breaks up nicely into the built in verb and just a little bit of drive added on my '90's era Marshall Micro Stack Lead 15 with some comp, chorus, and delay pedals. Surf rock heaven, if you can play that way.The crazy dual circuit thing is interesting and I always wondered about it, and after playing with it for 2 minutes it makes perfect sense. Kind of a neat tool if you can figure out how to use it. Most of my use is for recording so I don't need that sort of flexibility for a live situation but in the right hands it could be very useful to a player.Did I mention the color? I mean, look at that color!I am just recently 50 years old and this was a gift to myself and I love it. zZounds is the best and this era…

of budget guitar brands is a game changer for musicians. Like the craft beer renaissance, when I was young there were no good beer options, just basic swill, and the only high quality affordable guitars available were used with all their used flaws. Now you can go to any city anywhere in the world and try 13 different kinds of beers you've never zZounds of and will enjoy immensely, as well as go to a fine online retailer like Zzounds and buy and awesome and brand new vintage style Jazzmaster for under 500 bucks. Welcome to the future my friends.
