"Totally rockage..."
This guitar will last a lifetime. Ive had it for a year and it sounds and looks (except for clumsy friends scratching it) brand new. I recommend it for anyone on a budget. If you have money to spare, definitly buy the KH-2 or MH301!!! They are beautiful!!
Sound
Very good sound quality, as expected from ESP. It is no surprise that Dave Mustaine saw the light. For what I payed, it cost me less that most of my fellow guitar weilding friends spent on their Ibanez's (which I personally do not like). Even without a band backing it, this guitar gives good bang for the buck. Sounds great live, havent recorded with it yet. I use a Marshall AVT150H head with an AVT412A cab. All the effects on the head coincide perfectly with this guitar. My only complaint is that the Floyd Rose, despite its reputation, does indeed detune the strings.... but that isnt ESP's fault.
Features
All high quality. Smooth knob turning, adjustable pickups, all the basic stuff. The trem system often does not work as it should, but ill tell ya, it sure looks cool! My only complaint regarding the guitar is the inlays, but that is petty and of little importance. Dots are just not fun! Doesnt really matter though ... still rocks. This guitar also did not have a special "ultra-5-way-switch" or whatever they call it. They equipped the MH201 and MH301 with it, but only have the MH100 a toggle :(
Value
Great value for the price.… read more I only wish i had the MH301 instead!
Manufacturer Support
Shipped the guitar in 2 or 3 days, gave strings and a cord with it as well. Never had a problem with the guitar, so ive never needed repairs.
The Wow Factor
It had a great appeal by itself, but the MH301 really look my eye with its sexy quilted maple top. Comparatively, this guitar is average.
