Overview

The Epiphone Emperor Swingster is a way-cool guitar that excels in a wide range of genres, including jazz, blues, rockabilly, country and rock. This hollowbody has a 5-ply layered maple body, mahogany neck with a comfortable and fast-playing SlimTaper profile, Indian laurel fretboard with block inlays, mother of pearl Epiphone and Tree of Life inlays on the large Clipped Dove Wing headstock, Grover Rotomatic tuning machines, and two Epiphone SwingBucker pickups, each with a dedicated volume and tone control. Push/pull switches are built into each volume control to provide series/parallel switching for the pickups, and along with the 3-way toggle pickup selector switch, gives you a broad selection of tonal options.

The LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge is mounted on a pinned wooden base so it won't move out of place when you use the licensed Bigsby vibrato with wire handle. Available in Forest Green Metallic with gold hardware, or Black Aged Gloss and Delta Blue Metallic finishes with nickel hardware.

this guitar finally arrived... it was well packed and in excellent condition. with the forest green metallic, gold hardware, inlays and the like... this is a true thing of beauty. the finish and over all looks are just jaw dropping. the build itself is quality and done well. the play ability was just ok out of the box. really bad fret buzz throughout the1st, 2nd. 3rd. effecting all strings at the 1st fret but mainly the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd strings. poor setup, or not at all.I took the guitar to a local guitar shop owned by a musician. he had to adjust the neck, bridge and saddle. with more tweaks here and there, he ran it through the paces, and it now sounds and plays like a decent hollow body. it has a real sweet tone and some fiery grunt. I have to admit that most guitars that I have bought online needed some work, so I wasn't surprised by this one either.all n all it's a very good guitar with a killer (maybe not for everybody) looks! lotta bang for the buck!
