I've wanted a white SG Junior since 1986 when I saw Jake E. Lee wielding one with great effect on 'The Ultimate Sin' tour. I IMMEDIATELY ordered this when I saw it being advertised.I don't know who Yungblud is, and honestly, I don't care. This guitar is a screamer should one wish to scream. The Epi P-90 PRO pickup is a huge upgrade from their other P-90.This is a really comfortable and fun guitar to play. Other than needing the usual truss rod and bridge tweaks, I find no problems here except the high E end of the nut. It could've been smoothed down a bit better. It tends to grab my pinkie when I'm playing in the 1st position. The neck could be a bit thinner but it's not a baseball bat.The tuning keys and hardware seem to be of good quality.I love the finish, too. White SG's are totally cool. Just ask Frank Hannon. It comes with a hardshell case, so for the price, you won't find a better deal on a model limited to only 600 units worldwide.I tested out this guitar using my Marshall DSL-1 and I liked what I heard, on both channels. I did had to back off some on the gain on the Ultra Gain channel for better note definition. This P-90 PRO breaks up like a porcelain cup in San Francisco, circa 1906.Basically, I'm really pleased with this instrument. My only real gripe is that in typical Epiphone fashion, the pickguard had a slight warp and some of the screws aren't properly installed, so the heads aren't flush with the body. "Jake" will have to get in line behind my Gibson Les Paul read more Deluxe and my Player Plus Strat - both purchased from zZounds, btw - but he's a welcome addition to my collection.(Sidenote: I had a Gibson SG Jr. that I traded to recover a guitar I'd previously sold to a friend. That SG was really sweet but felt flimsy. I tend to tightly grip the neck and the Gibson would flex making the notes go flat. This Epi SG seems a bit more rigid so if you use your pick like a pickaxe, you should be okay here. Ha-ha.)Buy this one. You'll thank me later.[Stars ratings based on similar models in this price range.]
