Get a great start on playing guitar with the AJ-220S. The classic Advanced Jumbo design ensures a huge, articulate sound whether you're at home or on stage.

For over 70 years the classic "Advanced Jumbo" acoustic with its iconic "bell" shape, rich tone, and exceptional volume, has been the favored rhythm guitar for all style of musicians. The Epiphone AJ-220S features a Solid Sitka Spruce top or a Solid Mahogany top in a new Mahogany Burst finish along with a Solid Mahogany neck and Epiphone's Lifetime Guarantee.

Solid Top, Exceptional Tone

The Epiphone AJ-220S is modeled after the classic "Advanced Jumbo" acoustic guitar first introduced in the 1930s that featured a unique "X" bracing that allowed the top to resonate with a more balanced tone and greater volume than any acoustic guitar of its generation. Like vintage "AJ" style instruments, the modern AJ-220S is made with a Solid Sitka Spruce top (Vintage Sunburst and Natural finishes) as well as a new solid Mahogany top with a Mahogany Burst Finish. Over time and with playing hours, both the Solid Sitka Spruce and Mahogany guitars will develop their own unique character as the wood gradually ages, making the AJ-220S an instrument that you can enjoy for life. The Solid Mahogany neck is glued to the body with a traditional Dovetail Joint and features a SlimTaper C-profile with a 25.5" scale length, 20 medium jumbo frets, and a Granadillo fingerboard. The traditional "reverse belly" bridge is also made from Granadillo and the tortoise style pickguard has the iconic metal "E" logo.

I ordered this before Christmas and receive it Saturday because it was back ordered. It came we'll protected and in excellent condition. It doesn't seem to be any bigger than any of my dreadnaught, but it has a big sound. It tuned easily. The action seems a little high, but I can get used to it.
