Overview
This card is your clear choice if you need to record 16 or more tracks over ADAT lightpipe at once. Use multiple cards at once. Windows and Mac compatible (not all features work with all Mac software).
STUDI/O includes:
Two 8-channel, 24-bit Alesis ADAT optical interfaces
High-resolution, 18-bit, 1 in. stereo analog monitor/headphone output
Full Windows audio drivers for PC and Cubase VST (PC and Mac) so it works with your existing software
Each interface is configurable to ADAT or SPDIF (2 channel) optical, with realtime stereo sample rate conversion
16 Channels of Digital I/O
That's two (2) pairs of optical interfaces ("lightpipe" connectors) for 16 channels of digital I/O - software selectable between ADAT (8-channel) and S/PDIF (DAT) formats. 16-channels, phase-locked, and in sync. No ground loops, no noise.
24 Bits
STUDI/O supports 24-bit audio so that STUDI/O users are ready for the latest generation of digital audio hardware (O2R, M20, Apogee AD-8000).
Software Configurable
STUDI/O is software configurable. That means no jumpers to mess with. STUDI/O comes with its own Control Panel software that makes setup simple and allows you to customize and save your settings.
PCI Plug-n-Play
STUDI/O is a PCI Plug-n-Play device. That means it is cross-platform. On the PC STUDI/O is supported by any program that supports Windows WaveAudio Sound System devices. On the Mac STUDI/O is supported by Cubase VST 3.5, with Digital Performer and Logic Audio support coming soon.… read more
Sample Rate Converter
STUDI/O has its own onboard Sample Rate Converter. Digitally record from a sampler CD and bring it in at 48KHz on the fly! Transfer to and from your DAT machine, converting to 44.1Hz on the way. read less
