zZounds Gear Experts Say...
High fidelity delay pedal with tube warmth, tap tempo and 2-track looping.
Overview
The Damage Control TimeLine Multi-Dimensional Delay is the world's finest and most versatile delay product. 96KHz processing buffered by dual 12AX7's produces uncompromised signal quality of the processed sound, while the analog dry path ensures transparency. From vibrato, phasing, flanging and chorus, to slap-back, long echoes, multi-head and reverse, the TimeLine's continuous controls let you create your sound simply by turning knobs. The user presets, tap tempo, strum tempo, 2-track looping, and MIDI implementation make sure the TimeLine delivers in any performance or studio application.
Features
Eight continuously variable controls: Time, Feedback, Mix, Mod Speed, Mod Depth, Drive, Filter and S
Enough control to let you create any delay sound you can think of, from short and sweet to long and lush.
Two track 20 second Looper
Each track has individual level and pan controls. The Looper can be quantized for precise tempo sync using one of four selectable click samples with its own level and tone control.
Eight presets (virtually unlimited through MIDI)
Save your favorites with ease using the push switch on the encoder. MIDI allows for 1280 presets to be stored and recalled.
Analog Dry Path
The dry signal stays analog throughout, so your tone is unaffected by digital conversion. The 123dB SNR of the dry path creates a new standard in transparency.
96KHz processing
Fidelity is premium quality with 96kHz, 32-bit floating point processing. The 110 dB SNR of the processed… read more signal is unmatched, resulting in pristine audio with fat musicality.
Tube-Buffered Wet Path
Dual 12AX7 tubes biased at 250V buffer the signal before and after the digital conversion, ensuring the highest degree of warmth and musicality for the delayed signal.
Analog Bypass
A buffered signal is provided that will work transparently with your amp input, effects loop, or mixing console.
Triggered Reverse Delay Mode
Anyone who has messed around with reverse delay knows the frustration of having to 'sync' your playing to match the delay. The TimeLineReverse Mode 'aligns' itself in time with your playing, producing aconsistent and musical result. You can actually use it in a live situation with repeatable results.
Tap tempo and strum tempo delay time
You have two choices to enter tap tempo information. You can step on the TAP button, or if you prefer, you can step and hold the TAP button while you strum or play staccato notes at the tempo you desire - perfect for calling out the tempo at the start of a song in live performance.
MIDI functionality for extended control
Every knob and switch is controllable with MIDI commands, and you can save and recall 1280 presets, if you need that many. TimeLine also works with standard MIDI clock messages to set delay times.
Comprehensive LED indicators
Not only do they look cool, but they are smart too, telling you the ON/BYPASS and Nuclear status of the Liquid Blues.
Power supply included
Batteries can't operate high-voltage devices like these, so we hook you up with the proper power source.
True stereo operation
The Left and Right Channels are processed independently throughout TimeLine. read less

Damage Control Timeline Customer Review
I haven't played a delay that's half as great as this one. Watch some youtube videos of it and decide if it's a sound you absolutely have to have. If you don't use delay much, you probably won't think it's worth $400. If you use delay a lot, then you'd be hard pressed to find a better sounding delay period.
Sound
I can't imagine life without my damage control timeline. It's really too bad they discontinued this pedal, it is a staple of my sound. It's especially amazing in stereo. I run mine with a midimate so I can store 100+ different delay sounds. Very responsive, very huge sounding, clarity is amazing.
Features
Tons and tons of features. After 2 years I'm still learning how to coax the best sounds out of it.
Ease of Use
It's not super easy to use like an MXR Carbon Copy (3 knobs), but it's not difficult to get a good sound out of it. Once you start saving, and using tap tempo and stuff, it can get a little trickier to use, but it's worth learning how to use it. When you consider all the features it has, I can't imagine a simpler way to use all them. That being said, your 8 year-old won't be able to figure it out.
Quality
I wonder why they discontinued these. Mine has been 100% reliable. It's big, heavy, and the switches feel awesome. I have no reasons to expect it to be less than 100% reliable.
Value
This is… read more an expensive delay; but it's worth every penny in my book. If mine got lost/stolen I would pay double to have it back. most people wouldn't, since they don't rely on a huge delay sound. This is a pedal that i simply cannot live without, so I would do whatever I needed to to make sure I had one.

The Wow Factor
What a stupid rating. "Sex appeal" in a pedal? Give me a break. I don't care what it looks like, I care what it sounds like. yes, it's a huge pedal and it takes up a lot of room and has its own power supply. The glowing tubes are cool, and the LED's actually help me know what's going on inside. This category is a joke.
