What's special about this item?

Feature: What it does:
Torrefied European spruce top Excellent clarity with an "aged" tone
Myrtlewood back and sides Powerful, full and balanced sound
Hard rock maple neck Extremely strong; bright tonal character
African ebony fretboard and bridge Enhances the definition and clarity of notes

Myrtlewood grows in Oregon along a 90 mile stretch of the Pacific Ocean coast. It is Breedlove's favorite tonewood for backs and sides as it delivers surprising energy and extraordinary tonal balance in addition to its highly varied color patterns accentuated by the UV thin Natural Shadow Burst finish. To further boost the High-Energy sound they have chosen a Hard Rock maple neck, which is denser than mahogany, and an African ebony fretboard and bridge. Of course, the top is torrefied European spruce for the rich aged sound of a guitar built decades ago. Nothing had been spared including brass inlays, gold frets and tuners, Breedlove Natural Sound Electronics.

I never write review but I felt obligated to write one for this guitar. I was looking for an all solid wood guitar and found the Breedlove Organic Series on Youtube. I first ordered the Breedlove Signature Organic Copper CE. There was an issue with the sides warping on this guitar. I believe that the issue happened during shipping. zZounds was great about returning it. I purchased this guitar as the replacement. It was a little more money then the Copper CE. However, the difference in the woods used in this model is well worth the price difference. This guitar is stunning. The solid Myrtle wood used on the back and sides is incredibly figured and book matched. I really have not seen anything like it (especially in this price range). It plays and looks like a dream. The action is low from the factory. No neck adjustments needed. This is the first acoustic guitar that I have bought that I had to do "no" adjustments to the truss rod or action. I have bought many guitars thru the years. I usually prefer a larger neck because I play hard/heavy and have a tendency to press the strings out of tune on smaller necks. However, this neck feels very comfortable and I have not had an issue with pressing it out of tune. The only thing that Breedlove could improve (IMO) is the pick up system. I am not a huge fan of sound hole controlled pickups. Its not a deal breaker but this is the only weakness I can see. This guitar is beyond a deal. Don't miss getting one. It's would be a $2000+ guitar read more if another manufacturer build anything even close to it.
