"Good sound but not great quality"

I purchased, owned and used the previous version (S1 Pro's) for many years. Great units. I used them for hundreds of solo, duo and trio gigs as wireless mains and even with full bands as wireless wedges. The only negative I'd say about the first gen units were the 1/4" output (no xlr), and the fact that the EQ knobs would sometimes fall out and/or be cranked and adjusted from preferred settings after transporting. When the S1 Pro+ came out, I figured I'd upgrade to these. I thought the multifunction, all-in-one buttons could solve the eq setting after transporting issues, as its a digital knob that would only be adjusted when the units were powered on. These multifunction knobs spin to adjust settings and also require that you press in the button to jump to different settings like vol/treb/bass/reverb and advanced menu settings. So obviously, having them working is important. on My 2 new S1 Pro+ units, these knobs didnt even last a year. 2 on one unit and 1 on another no longer allow me to press in the button. Only allowing a spin adjustment to the volume since i cant toggle through the other settings. I sent one back to Bose and they replaced the inlay, I/O panel and the PCB Assembly. They have a 2 year mfg warranty so thats nice, but im still afraid the issue is going to happen again and I will have to pay next time if not under warranty. Besides that I really love these units and get many compliments on my sound and minimal footprint at my gigs. So if you buy these, make sure… read more you protect these knobs at all costs. I built custom foam padded crates to cover and protect them when transporting to hopefully prevent this from happening again.
