Professional Features in Rack Format
The 19 in. format was introduced to achieve international compatibility among studio gear. The 19 in. rack is the standard for flight cases, studio racks, and so on. Behringer designed the Eurorack mixers to give you the functionality and features of a professional console in this standard format. You get the audio quality and reliable construction of our largest Eurodesk, the MX9000, in a compact rack format - with all imaginable functions.

The MX2642A gives you 2 types of channels: 8 mono and 4 stereo channels. The mono channels have balanced XLR microphone and Õ in. TRS line inputs. To make sure you have everything you need, inserts and direct outs are also included. The stereo channels are fitted with Õ in. phone inputs and are ideal for expanders, samplers, and other line signals.

All channels feature a high-quality EQ section, 6 aux sends, solo-in-place/PFL, and mute functions with status LEDs and routing to subgroups and the main mix. Four additional stereo line inputs offer further flexibility. The discrete microphone preamplifiers sport the same proven design and high quality as those included in the Eurodesk MX9000. A generously proportioned external power supply ensures extremely low hum interference and especially transparent reproduction. Behringer Euroracks enjoy a high standing among rack mixers. Due to its excellent audio performance, the MX2642A is installed in several radio studios.

Ultra-Musical Equalizer
Each input channel features a high and low-shelving EQ with 15 dB of boost/attenuation each. In the mono channels, the MX2642A additionally sports a semi-parametric mid-frequency filter plus an 18 dB/octave low-cut filter. The stereo channels have a perfectly designed 4-band EQ.

Aux Sends for All Your Needs
Aux sends 1 and 2 are switchable between pre-fader and post-fader mode. In addition, 4 aux paths are available, which can be selected in pairs with the Shift button.

The Main Thing
The main mix level is controlled via high-quality 60-mm Panasonic faders. A brilliant 12-segment LED display with separate status LEDs gives you direct visual control. The master section also features a phones output and a 2-track input, which can be routed to the main mix, both with a precise potentiometer for level control.

Eight Additional Line Inputs
The MX2642A has 4 stereo line inputs above the subgroup faders, each with a PFL function. These inputs can be routed to the aux paths and are ideal for MIDI instruments, effect units, or multi-track outputs during recording. When space is at a premium, but you don't want to make compromises in quality, you can't do much better than the MX2642A.
