The Behringer Pro Mixer DX1000's most brilliant highlight is the extremely wide range of applications it can be used for. It has all the features you'd expect from a state-of-the-art DJ mixer, making it the heart of your DJ system. Five dual input stereo channels give you the freedom to choose from any signal source you like, and 2 additional mic channels having the same control features as the stereo channels underline the DX1000's functionality and increase the fun factor considerably.

With the ultra-musical 3-band EQ you can shape the sound and remove low frequencies with the kill switch. Interactive contact with the dance floor is ensured by the main mute and main boost buttons. High-precision 100-mm channel faders of the type usually found in high-end recording consoles and the ultra-high quality VCA crossfader fulfill any wishes you may have.

The Behringer DX1000 backs your pro-level commitment, down to the smallest detail. This creative instrument with its ultra-DJ-friendly user interface guides you through the most essential functions and monitors each option you select with its status LEDs. Indispensable ingredients such as the PFL function, which is monitored visually together with the main output signal by a 12-segment LED VU meter, the talk-over function and the subbass output are just a few of the DX1000's many special features, offering both you and your audience a sound experience undreamed-of before.

XY Routing Solves Even the Trickiest Performance Problems read more
The heart of a successful mix is the crossfader that determines the X and Y signal portions. We use extremely rugged and precisely working components for the perfect design of our sophisticated VCA controller - enduring more than 200,000 operating cycles. The master LEDs "assign X" and "assign Y" ensure convenient and flexible XY routing of all tracks. The crossfader and additional mix transforming (e.g. with the punch and cut buttons) allow for handling the DX1000 intuitively - throwing your audience on the dance floor into rhythmical ecstasy and making you the star of an unlimited DJ performance.

"Mr. Bombastic" - The Unbeatable 3-Band EQ with Subbass Output
Punch and power, crystal-clear quality - that's what your sounds get from the DX1000's ultra-musical 3-band EQ. You want some more power? Here you are! Use the subbass output on the rear with 2 separate output level and crossover frequency controls to get the definite punch on the dance floor. Be "Mr. Bombastic" with the DX1000!

Features Unlimited - Solutions Can Be So Easy
The Pre-Fader-Listen function is the most professional way to adjust signal levels. Naturally, each channel has this indispensable DJ feature. The perfect talk-over system of the DX1000 allows you to seamlessly announce the next track. With the second main mix and zone output you can feed your mix into a separate system, which can even be located in a different room. The effect return input enables you to connect an effects device or another music source, while the 12-V lamp socket and dimmer make sure that you've got everything under control!

"Great Features, Bad Sound"

Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Overall this mixer is a good purchase if your needs/wants are for features, connectors, and output capacities. It is the most versatile mixer I have ever seen, and regardless of the noisy/leaky channels it offers the most features for the dollar ammount. I would not purchase this unit again if it was to be replaced.
Sound
The channel buses are badly shielded, phono preamps are noisy and I get terrible sound leakage from the 3 phono channels that are on the same bus.
Features
To be featurefull, it is. This mixer has every single feature a crossfading mixer could possibly have besides an integrated beat counter, but a handheld unit was included in the package.
Quality
This unit can take a lot of physical stress. I could drop it and not be too worried.
Value
The most features for the money, but not the best sound.
Manufacturer Support
I did not have to contact Behringer for support.
The Wow Factor
Knowing about its noisy electronic layout makes me want it less, but i have to admit that looking at the unit and looking at the price tag makes you say "You're comming home with me."
