Two 24-bit high-speed signal processors. Delay up to 2.5 sec. Servo-balanced inputs and outputs.
Overview
Behringer Ultra-Curve Pro delivers the full performance and flexibility of 24-bit technology. With its broad range of functions, excellent S/N ratio, and outstanding audio quality, it's predestined for demanding users like you. The Ultra-Curve Pro permits an extremely fast, precise, and fully automated equalization of rooms and PA systems with its integrated 31-band real-time analyzer. Behringer has developed the ultra-linear Behringer ECM8000 measuring microphone that can be combined perfectly with the DSP8024 for the ultimate in equalization precision. An adjustable delay of up to 2.5 seconds is integrated. Further highlights of the new Ultra-Curve Pro are the digital "brick wall" limiter and the noise gate for each channel.
The PRO version of the unit was completely redesigned and truly deserves the designation PRO. The Ultra-Curve Pro DSP8024 is based on 2 extremely powerful, high-speed 24-bit DSPs (Digital Signal Processors) and first-class 24-bit A/D and D/A converters for all of your live and studio applications. Its open architecture permits operating system upgrades and even the implementation of completely new functions at any time. The front panel offers a convenient way of editing data, which may then be stored in the unit's non-volatile memory. The integrated MIDI interface permits real-time editing with our enhanced EQ-Design software or a MIDI controller/sequencer. Additional, extreme special effects can be realized using "snapshots."
All You Need - Stereo 31-Band… read more Graphic EQ and Full Parametric EQ
Both channels feature a digital 31-band constant-Q graphic equalizer permitting a boost/attenuation of ±16 dB in 0.5 dB increments. Three full bands of parametric equalization or notch filters with dynamic bandwidth adaptation are also available per channel. Frequently used EQ curves can be stored in a library. A broad range of onboard functions such as edit/store/copy/compare/add/ subtract are also available. Superimpose and compare multiple EQ curves to optimize the system parameters to the given room conditions. All EQ parameters can be edited via MIDI for dynamic EQ effects such as filter sweeps. This point is of special interest for dance-floor or other productions that rely heavily on effects.
Feedback is a Thing of the Past with the Integrated Feedback Destroyer
The Ultra-Curve Pro contains a fully automatic feedback destroyer with intelligent signal analysis functions for swift elimination of feedback. Any of 6 parametric equalization bands can be set to automatically seek out and attenuate unwanted feedback frequencies dynamically. An ultra-narrow notch (1/60th octave) leaves the rest of the audio spectrum virtually unchanged. This feature is particularly effective when dealing with feedback between microphones and monitor speakers on stage. It can also eliminate any feedback howl, such as that between headphones and a microphone, or turntables and a club PA system.
Gain Precious Time with the Real-Time Analyzer
A Real-Time Analyzer is an invaluable tool for checking the frequency response characteristics of concert halls and studio control rooms, or to check if the frequency/energy content of a mix is right for radio transmission, clubs, or PA systems. This saves you precious time. PA system alignment normally takes place during the sound-check in an empty auditorium. The trouble is, once the audience has come in, the acoustics alter dramatically and resonant frequencies shift. Now you can equalize your PA system for a full auditorium, after the audience has arrived. With the Ultra-Curve DSP8024 you can afford the same sophisticated room equalization techniques previously enjoyed only by top professionals.

"Ultracurve - Ultraproduct"
I am very satisfied with this product, and if I need more I will definitely check with Behringer, In fact since purchasing the Ultracurve we have baught several other Behringer components, and always check with Behringer when looking to upgrade our show.
Sound
I own and use the Ultracurve processor and use it every weekend for The Bluer Skyz Band in Michiana. It is one component in our system that we have total confidence in, set the curve, ring the room, then Rock N Roll. The Ultracurve has taken us from garage band to Semi-pro road band with it's quality sound.
Features
For me, the main feature that I baught the Ultracurve for was the RTA, the sound in the room is exactly the same as the sound in the headphones. No guessing, no mistakes, the RTA gives me the best characteristics for each room.
Quality
This particular component has thousands of road miles in the back of a trailor; more than a hundred shows, unloads and loads; never any problem except when I forgot to turn it on.
Value
This product gives me the most bang per buck....
Manufacturer Support
Can't say anything about support, because I haven't needed any, that's great.
The Wow Factor
It looks fine.
Musical Style:
Classic Rock N Roll
