Aural Exciter(tm)
Countless albums and CD's owe part of their success to the Aphex Aural Exciter It's been a 'secret weapon' of read more top producers and artists for over 24 years. This patented process adds transient discriminate harmonic details to the sound - without turning it into distortion. If you want distortion, then use any distortion effect you like. The Aural Exciter will still add something good. No other so-called 'exciter' or 'maximizer' even comes close to the genuine Aphex Aural Exciter. You're going to hear that for yourself.

Big Bottom(tm)

This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
This little box has made a huge impact on me being able to dial up my sound. I am very pleased I got it
Sound
The sound is very easy to dial up, what I like is the sound is fuller but it doesn't drive the pre-amp, in fact it appears to have very little effect on the gain at all, a small miracle. I think what you get is a clean, full bass sound. When I DI it to the PA people come up to me afterwards and tell me how good the bass sounds, that has never happened to me before.
Features
I love the similicity of the controls, I set my amp (GK 400RB) and change the sound using the Aphex. The range of control available on the DI is excellent. The ability to take any power adapter is great, but actually the unit uses so little power I really haven't needed it.
Value
It is expensive, but it does do the job.
Manufacturer Support
So far no need for support
The Wow Factor
Simple gear that does what it says it does. Not over engineered, not goofy.
