The Ampeg SVT-810AV Anniversary Bass Cabinet faithfully reproduces the classic 8 x 10 bass cabinet that has reigned for more than 40 years as an uncontested champion of low-end power. This SVT cabinet utilizes Ampeg's celebrated Infinite Baffle design for a distinctive and pronounced tone that has no equal. It pushes 800 watts of power out of two discrete 4 x 10" speaker sets, giving it more than enough power for almost any application, live or recorded.

An SVT-810E with Classic Finishes

The SVT-810AV is identical to the Classic Series SVT-810E, but has a few cosmetic features that pay tribute to the original 1969 Ampeg SVT stack that is still affectionately known to many as "The Fridge." It reproduces this classic look with a vintage metallic sheen fabric covering, and classic hardware details. It utilizes totally-up-to-date electronic componentry in a circuit design that has long since been recognized as timeless.

It's all about tone. And this is the speaker enclosure they're talking about when they say "SVT cabinet."

Why use eight 10" speakers? Because Ampeg learned early on that 10" speakers work much more efficiently than fifteens or eighteens--and if you put eight 10" speakers together, you can move a much larger column of air. In fact, you'd need five 18" or six 15" speakers to move as much air as the SVT-810AV! And they simply wouldn't be able to respond to transient peaks as quickly as these tens.

The SVT-810AV is still manufactured using the same design dating all the way back to 1969. The Infinite Baffle design of these sealed enclosures produces vast amounts of tightly focused bass.
