ADAM Audio H200 Professional Closed-Back Headphones

The H200 is a versatile closed-back headphone designed from the ground up to benefit from ADAM Audio's 25 years of experience as a manufacturer of monitoring solutions. Its modern yet unobtrusive industrial design brings style to working environments without compromising on functionality or audio quality.

Get the story behind ADAM Audio's H200 headphones in this video from ADAM:

The headphone's PEEK diaphragm drivers and acoustical housing deliver the exceptional sound quality for which ADAM Audio is known, while its lightweight but considered construction ensures a comfortable fit and good sound isolation. The changeable headband padding and memory foam earpads, detachable main cable, and general robustness ensure a long life even in rough studio environments. A high-quality soft carry bag allows for convenient transportation.

A distinct advantage of the H200 is the purpose-built ADAM Audio Headphone Utility DAW plug-in. The included software offers a range of optimization tools for the H200 as well as a spatialization feature that uses advanced crossfeed techniques to better simulate how humans perceive sound in space.

PEEK Performance Drivers:
The H200 features a 40mm Polyether Ether Ketone Driver (PEEK) that offers a smooth and balanced frequency response of 2 Hz -23.5 kHz, plentiful SPL, and low distortion. It is combined with a lightweight neodymium magnet system for crystal-clear sound.

Faux Leather and Soft Cloth Earpads
The H200 comes with an easy-to-clean read more faux leather earpad as standard, or a soft cloth option is available as a separate accessory. Both options feature memory foam to ensure a comfortable fit, dampen internal resonances, and provide excellent isolation for recording or when working in noisy environments. Differences in frequency response due to the different acoustic properties of the available earpads can be compensated for in the DAW plug-in.

Anodized Aluminium Yoke, Durable Headband, and Replaceable Padding:
Chosen for their strength, comfort, and durability, the headband components offer a firm but not excessive clamping force, and the padding is easy to keep clean and replaceable if damaged. The result is a good over-ear seal that controls unwanted resonances, especially in the problematic 70-150 Hz frequency band.

Dual-Sided Connectivity:
The audio cable can be attached to the H200 on either the left or right side using the carefully angled and concealed 2.5mm input jack with a locking collar mechanism. Unlike bayonet or screw-in mechanisms, the collar mechanism will release when under significant pressure to prevent damage to the cable or headphones. This facilitates a more efficient connection to source equipment and allows damaged cables to be easily replaced.

Detachable & Durable Enamelled Cable:
The provided detachable audio cable is 3m in length and was chosen for its durability, flexibility, and low mechanical noise. It terminates with a 3.5mm connection with a 6.3mm adapter also included. A shorter 1.2 m cable and a spiraled 3m cable are also available as separate accessories.

ADAM Audio Headphone Utility Plug-In:
The included ADAM Audio Headphone Utility is designed for the optimization of the H200 headphones and can be downloaded free of charge upon product registration. While the H200 sounds great straight out of the box, source equipment impedance or varying earpad materials have an influence over perceived sound quality. Furthermore, traditional headphones have a restricted stereo image when compared to loudspeakers due to their inherent design. The Headphone Utility is designed to sit on the master channel of your DAW and offers a range of optimisation tools as well as a spatialisation feature that offers a more natural stereo image.

About ADAM Audio:
ADAM Audio monitors have had a reputation for sonic excellence and unrivaled quality ever since the company was founded in 1999. With the development of the X-ART and S-ART tweeters, which are characterized by an extended frequency range and a higher efficiency compared to dome tweeters, this unique tweeter design has become the embodiment of a transparent, highly defined and authentic sound that is the most defining development of ADAM Audio's proprietary designs today. Being made and tested painstakingly by hand in the Berlin factory, ADAM Audio's high frequency driver is a rare exception in these days of automated mass production.

ADAM Audio is represented worldwide through a global network of distributors and dealers in more than 75 countries. ADAM Audio is a member of the Focusrite Group, a global music and audio products group whose products and solutions facilitate the high-quality production of recorded and live sound.

Several years in the making, the H200 was designed from the ground up at ADAM Audio's R&D department in Berlin, which has expanded to include a dedicated team of industry-leading headphone engineers.

The headphone's 40mm PEEK diaphragm drivers and patent-pending internal airflow technology deliver the exceptional sound quality for which ADAM Audio is known, with the iconic S Series used as a benchmark for tonality. Carefully considered headband physics ensure a comfortable fit, with memory foam-based earpads providing excellent isolation.

With decades of use and environmental factors in mind, modularity and materials played an important role during the development process. Both the earpads and the headband padding are easily replaceable, and the durable main cable is attachable to either side of the headphone. The packaging is paper-based, while the driver housing consists of 85% post-consumer recycled ABS plastic. A high-quality carry bag is included for storage and transportation.
