This metronome does everything I need it to do... as the worship team drummer at my local church, this device has really helped because now we don't spend time every practice trying to figure out what the tempo of the song was the last time we played it. I just "tap in the tempo" and write it down. I wear it to practice and when we worship Sunday morning. I "feed" tempos to the piano and guitar players, as well as myself. While we're playing a song, I put it up to my ear and slowly adjust the tempo if the metronome doesn't match what we're playing. It's a great tool!
Features
The "tap and it will show you the tempo" mode is great. I use this feature all the time, because we rarely play the song in the original/written tempo. The two LEDs are nice -- one for the main beat, and the other for the other beats. Most metronomes only have 1 LED (or a dual-color LED). (You can set the rhythm type to 1-1 to have only 1 LED light up, if you want.) Excellent size -- small enough to wear around my neck (the included lanyard was a nice touch), and small enough to stick in my shirt pocket. But not so small that you can't use the buttons. I didn't think I would use the rhythm types, but when I had a slow 6/8 song... then the "triplets" rhythm type was just what I needed!
Quality
It doesn't feel cheap -- probably because it's not cheap :-)
Value
A bit pricey, but I'm glad I bought this one.
