Interactive compressor, expander, and gate. Features fully automatic or manual attack and release, Ultra Tube circuitry for added warmth without distortion and warmth control for generating tube sound independently.

The Behringer Composer Pro has become the industry standard compressor for numerous applications. Today, you'll find stacks of Composer Pros in the racks of professional touring companies as well as in leading studios the world over. Now there's a device that combines the Composer's famous interactive concept with modern tube technology: the Tube Composer T1952.

Features
Interactive Tube version of "industry standard" compressor-expander-gate

Fully automatic and manual compression, expander/gate, clipper, and program limiter functions

Innovative Interactive Knee Adaption circuit gives you the best of Hard- and Soft-Knee compression in a single dynamic process

Patented "Ultra-Tube" circuitry warms up your signal without bringing in unwanted noise, hum, or hiss

"Warmth" control lets you dial in as much tube sound as your want

Tube Composer features Sovtek tubes, large backlit analog VU meters and a "Retro" design with polished chrome front panel and vintage look

Interactive Ratio Control Expander/Gate lets you make incredibly "natural" fades to silence and eliminates "chattering"

Dual-action Interactive Gain Control Peak Limiter circuit provides both instantaneous "brickwall" limiting and reduces overall output level to avoid distortion

"Intelligent" Auto and Manual Attack and Release compression

Switchable true Stereo or Dual Mono operation and switchable +4 dBu/-10 dBv operating levels for the widest variety of applications

Servo-balanced XLR and TRS inputs and outputs read more

Special relay-controlled hard bypass prevents accidental "thumps in the night" in case of accidental power-down

Behringer T1952 Customer Review

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I'm buying 3 more! They are hand to find though.
Sound
Re-tubed it's a 10. Standard tubes - 8.5. This is my main compressor. I used it with standard tubes for a lonmg time. It is nice as is. I have used it on every thing. It's great on drums, guitar, and bass. I sometimes use it on vox too. I revalved it with two different vales and it rocks. Gonna buy at least another 3 for my studio?
Features
All the standard stuff. With the right valves the 'Warmth' control rocks.
Quality
Nothing wrong with it. They have done a stunning job re-creating a vintage look and feel. The knobs may be plastic, but they are replicating backerlite knobs of years gone by. Backerlite is very britle and breaks easy.
Value
So in-expensive that it's a joke.
Manufacturer Support
Not had to use it.
The Wow Factor
Not one person / band / A&R guy etc has NOT commented on how cool it looks.
