Squier Classic Vibe '60s Thinline Telecaster Electric Guitar, with Maple Fingerboard

Add a hint of organic flavor to your guitar tone with a semi-hollow Thinline Tele. The guitar's alnico single-coil pickups offer clarity with lots of muscle.

The Squier Classic Vibe '60s Telecaster Thinline is a nod to the early semi-hollow Tele models from the 1960s, creating incredible tone courtesy of the Fender-Designed alnico single-coil pickups. Player-friendly features include a slim, comfortable "C"-shaped neck profile with an easy-playing 9.5"-radius fingerboard and narrow-tall frets, as well as a vintage-style Telecaster bridge with a string-through-body design and individual steel saddles for precise adjustment. This throwback Squier model also features 1960s-inspired headstock markings, rich-looking nickel-plated hardware and a slick vintage-tint gloss neck finish for an old-school vibe.

I bought this fully expecting to change the pickups, wiring, and pots. Out of the box I was blown away by the cool twang and overall sound. A look under the hood I found large CTS style pots and very decent wiring including shielded wiring to the jack. After some machine oil to the tuners they were smooth and very acceptable. The pickups were labeled like they meant something too. I put in a 5 way switch, changed the jack to one with two pairs of contacts, went to Gotoh brass compensated bridges, and gave it a good tuneup. I’m now really happy with it. And the “natural “ color is really very cool. Even my wife likes it.
