Ignite your tone with the unique set of a Seymour Duncan Invader and a Sustainiac pickup found on the Special Edition Synyster Gates Custom S.

As part of the popular Synyster Gates series from Schecter, this special edition axe offers a unique set of features to ignite your tone in an all-out explosion of hard rock fury. The powerful combination of a Seymour Duncan Invader and a Sustainiac pickup deliver a wide range of scorching tones ideal for metal and other rock styles. The Invader pickup uses three ceramic magnets, over-wound coils and twelve cap screws to create some of the most forceful passive pickup tones out there. For even more sonic potential, the Sustainiac pickup feeds into an innovative circuit and driver to offer infinite sustain and controlled feedback. Experiment with the Sustainaic circuit and onboard Floyd Rose 1000 Series tremolo bridge, and see where this guitar can really take you. With all this built into a guitar with the looks to drop even the most rigid of jaws, the Schecter Special Edition Synyster Gates Custom S is an impossible guitar to overlook.

Schecter Special Edition Synyster Gates

Tuners - Grover

Rotomatics with 18:1 gear ratio (102-18 SERIES) The original Rotomatic with an improved higher ratio gearing. The 18:1 ratio provides for finer tuning and greater stability. The finer gears provide smoother tuning and a higher degree of backlash elimination.

Finger Board - Ebony

Ebony has a snappy, crisp attack with the density of Maple, but with more brittle grains, oilier pores, and a stronger fundamental tone than Maple. It has a tremendous amount of percussive overtones in the pick attack, that mute out shortly thereafter to foster great, long, sustain.

Pickups - Seymour Duncan Invader/ Sustainiac

Invader- Designed for the heaviest tones a passive pickup can produce. A combination of three ceramic magnets, over-wound coils and twelve cap screws make the Invader an electrifying force of energy. Sustainiac- This Driver/Pickup produces beautiful Humbucker tones when Sustain switch is off, and works as the Sustainiac Driver when switched On. The Sustainiac Driver creates an infinite feedback sustain of string vibrations by electromagnetic feedback. Bridge pickup is selected when Driver is on.

Neck - 3-piece Mahogany

Made with 3 pieces of mahogany for extra stability. 3 piece necks can withstand the test of time. Where standard necks may show aging defects from temperature and moisture changes throughout the years, the 3 piece neck will stay nice and straight for a lifetime of playability.

Sustainiac Functions

The 'Secret Weapon' for controlled feedback and infinite sustain. First, the pickup signal is processed by the Sustainiac circuit, and then connected to the Sustainiac Driver. The Driver turns the amplified note into vibrational energy. This vibrational energy is then fed back into the strings for infinite sustain. This string vibration is similar to playing in front of a loud Amp.

Sustainiac Mini Switches - On/Off & Normal/Mix/Harmonic Mini Switch Functions

On/Off Switch: This turns on/off the Sustainiac driver. Normal/Mix/Harmonic Switch: Normal Mode- String vibration will continue to ring natural fundamental note. Mix Mode- Some frets yield fundamentals, while others yield harmonics. Notes below the 12th fret will mostly morph into 2nd or 3rd harmonics. Harmonic Mode- Sustained notes morph into a high 5th or 7th harmonic vibration.
