Thurston Moore and Lee Ranaldo. Jazzmaster guitars slung across seminal shoulders. In the hands of both men, the sound of Sonic Youth is the sound of that guitar used as part paintbrush and part cluster bomb. If anybody ought to have signature Jazzmaster models, it's those two guys.

Done. Fender introduces the Thurston Moore Jazzmaster and the Lee Ranaldo Jazzmaster guitars. Classic Jazzmaster gestalt, Youth-fully stripped down and hot rodded right through the roof.

Special features of the Thurston Moore Jazzmaster include two Seymour Duncan(R) Antiquity II(tm) for Jazzmaster pickups, two-piece black anodized pickguard, American Vintage Jazzmaster tremolo with Adusto-Matic(tm) bridge and tremolo lock button, single master volume control, and a Forest Green Transparent satin nitrocellulose lacquer finish and black-painted headstock, plus a Sonic Youth 'zine and sticker sheet.

One can really tell the difference between an American Made guitar and one made overseas. This is excellent in every way. I will echo most peoples sentiments when I say it is a bit trebley, rolling the volume off 1 or 2 clicks does the trick or adjust your amp accordingly. Simple guitar but it sounds great and plays even better. Certainly the most beautiful and unique guitar I've owned over the past 20+ years of playing.

Musical Background:

20+ years, play in a band and at home

Musical Style:

All genres.
