Features
- Agathis Body with Beveled Top

- Rosewood Bolt-on Neck

- 24 Fret Rosewood Fingerboard

- Two BC Rich BDSM Humbuckers

- Wrap Around Adjustable Tailpiece

Beveled Top
Most of BC Rich body styles employ a beveled edge around the shape. In many ways bevels on a top are similar to facets on a cut stone. They catch the light and reflect at different angles giving the instrument more of a three dimensional look. Some of the B.C. Rich top bevels are extreme and wide while others are subtle and narrow. Occasionally the shape of the instrument is accented by painting the bevels a contrasting color.

Bolt-on Construction
A number of BC Rich guitars use a classic Bolt-on construction. On these instruments a neck (typically maple) is bolted on with 4 screws to the body. This construction offers some added flexibility in the instruments adjustment and provides the option to change the neck in the future.

BC Rich BDSM Pickups
BC Rich designed their BDSM humbucking pickups to provide a solid sound and to be durable while delivering high output. BDSM stands for Broad read more Dynamic Sonically Matched, which simply means that the pickup is designed to reproduce a wide range of frequencies accurately. Then they are tested and matched in pairs (Neck and Bridge) by their inherent individual and signature tonal and output characteristics to give a solidly balanced, sonically matched tone. read less

"Had one for over 4 years."

Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars

I have had this guitar for almost 5 years now. For beginners it is actually not a bad guitar. May take some messing with to get it right where you want it though. The action feels a bit high off the board even after messing with the bridge and rod. But not hard to play at all. I ended up taking out the BDSM's and put Dimarzio's into it, Liquifire in the neck (f spaced) and D Activator in the bridge (also f spaced). I noticed that my strings did not sit within the poles on the pickups so changing over to an F spaced neck actually helped bring out some of the sound that I felt I was missing out on. All and all though it's an alright guitar, and i still love the way it looks to this day with the red tribal flames and the fairly uncommon headstock. If you are looking to buy a metal guitar and you have been playing for a while this may not be for you. But if you are new to guitar and want something that will help you get into playing without busting the bank and still feel like you have a sick ax, it isn't all that bad. Very easy guitar to work on, however if you get in touch with BC Rich with any questions and tell them it is this guitar, they may actually ignore you.
